SILENT MAJORITY OR SPIN?

We now hear claims that Fremantle council has the support of the silent majority, when forcing Planning Scheme Amendment 49 down our throats.

Is that the same silent majority that could not be bothered to put submissions in, and the same silent majority that could not get off their bums to vote at local council elections? If that is the case, we then now have a council acting on behalf of a silent majority that did not vote for them.

That to me seems a strange interpretation of what democracy is.
