Many people turned up on Saturday at the East End information day the city put on in the former Toyota dealership.

At first impression there seem to be concerns about building heights, the control over quality of design and building, and traffic.

It would be a good idea to reduce the number of cars passing through Queen Victoria street once the development is under way. Wider foot paths should also be considered to allow for alfresco cafes and dining along the street.

A forum will be held on September 16, so we will probably hear more detailed plans from the City of Fremantle.
